Goa, one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country, Goa has always been an ideal destination for honeymooners and couples. Goa attracts hordes of tourists, both domestic and foreigners. Goa has opened its doors for domestic visitors starting may be start from 15 June 2021. The state tourism minister Manohar Ajgaonkar has formally announced that travelers are now welcome, and hotels will be allowed to reopen, with strict hygiene protocol in place. The state has been shut for travelers since the nationwide lock down was imposed in April to control the spread of the novel corona virus.

About Situation:
As from April there are drastically increased in the case of corona virus come out. But now after overcoming from second wave of COVID-19, mostly other states governments planning to reopen their respective states. So there will be assumed that the Goa government will start reopening of their state from 15 June. But currently there are no such guidelines has been approved for opening for domestic or international travellers.
Testing Before visiting:
Tourists will have to carry COVID-19 negative certificates to enter the state.If they don't have one, they will have to undergo a test at the airport, train or the road border and undergo institutional quarantine till the results arrive.
About Hotels Availability:
About 250 hotels are allowed to reopen after issuance of government guidelines. Only those hotels will be allowed to reopen, which have registered with the tourism department. Travelers will need a confirmed hotel booking before they arrive.
If a Tourist Tests Positive for Corona virus in Goa:
In this case, people will have to quarantine themselves in the state for at least 14 days and return only upon recovery.
The report also quotes the state tourism minister as saying that strict action would be taken against hotels and guest houses which are not registered with the tourism department but are offering stay facilities via app-based room aggregators.
