About Airport:
The Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport is located at the highest altitude in Leh, the capital of Ladakh.  The Airport is ranked 23rd highest commercial Airport in the world. The Leh airport is highly militarily equipped because of security reasons and the airport operates under the Airports Authority of India(AAI). The Leh Airport is also titled the world's most scenic approach, because of its Himalayan location. The level of security at Leh airport is extremely critical due to the constant threats of terrorism from the adjoining regions of Jammu and Kashmir.
