About Airport:

Mangalore Airport formerly known as Bajpe Airport, is an international airport located in the 
coastal city of Mangalore, India. Mangalore International Airport is the second busiest airport 
in Karnataka and it is one of the two international airports in Karnataka. The Airport has 1,600 m
long runway. The second runway 2,450 m long, was opened on 10 May 2006.Mangalore Airport was the first 
airport in Karnataka to have two runways and the first to have a runway made of concrete. The second runway 
2,450 m long, was opened on 10 May 2006. The airport is connected by multiple daily airlines from the prime 
cities in south and west India and it is an international airport serving several flights to major cities in 
the Middle East. The airport was initially used for limited domestic flights, mainly Mumbai and Bangalore.
he terminal was very small and had basic facilities and it was renovated in the early 2000s. The main airlines 
operating at the airport are Air India, Air India Express, Jet Airways and Spice Jet.

Integrated Terminal
The integrated terminal has capacity of handling 500 passengers per hour. There are a total of 21 check-in counter, 
14 immigration counters, 8 custom counters and 3 security counters available at the airport. The terminal was very small 
and had basic facilities, it was renovated in the early 2000s. New seats were added, parking controls were introduced, and 
additional cafes were opened. The airport was initially used for limited domestic flights, mainly Mumbai and Bangalore.
Passengers are provided with facilities like trolleys, wheel chair, telephone security hold area, child care room, lost and 
found counter, medical aid, ATMs and assistance to physically challenged passengers.
