About Indigo Airline:

IndiGo started out in 2006, The airline was founded by Rahul Bhatia and Rakesh Gangwal. Indigo is the second-largest low-cost airline in Asia, which operates 679 daily flights to 40 destinations. Their first hub was in Delhi. the airline took only four years to become larger than Air India, Kingfisher Airlines, and Jet Airways.

Indigo offers only economy class seating services to its 180 passengers per aircraft. Indigo headquarter is in Gurgaon, India. Ronojoy Dutta is currently the CEO of Inter Globe Aviation. It is the largest airline in India by passengers carried and fleet size. IndiGo's first international service was launched between New Delhi and Dubai. Its main base is located in Delhi, with additional bases at Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Jaipur, and Ahmedabad. Indigo has online flight booking, call centers, and separate airport counters,  and there is an IndiGo app for Android making it the most preferable airline in India.

IndiGo has about 290 aircraft covering various domestic and international destinations. To keep fares low, IndiGo does not provide complimentary meals on any of its flights, though it does have a buy-on-board in-flight meal program. The Air crafts airline includes - Airbus A320-200, Airbus A320neo, Airbus A321neo, and ATR 72-600.

Indigo Fleet Size:

IndiGo Airlines is one of India’s largest airline networks, it started in 2006. It is also the largest individual Asian low-cost carrier in terms of jet fleet size and passengers carried, and the sixth-largest carrier in Asia with over 64 million passengers.  Indigo is the first Indian airline to have more than 250 aircraft, and the first in India to operate more than 1,700 flights in a single day. When it comes to the largest fleet in India, IndiGo Airlines has a fleet size of 130 aircraft which is considered the largest in India.

Indigo flight baggage Allowance:

Indigo airlines is a budget airline belonging to the class of low-cost carriers. Indigo flight-free checked baggage weight limits for domestic flights is 15kg and for international flights is 20kg. For excess baggage, Indigo offers online purchase rates of INR 500 for 5kg and INR 1500 for 10kg. Excess baggage charges at the check-in counter continue to remain INR 250 for every additional kilo for domestic travel and for international travel; the charges vary as per the destination countries. The in-flight baggage weight allowance is that of 7kgs per passenger.

For travelers visiting Indian destinations, the check-in counter opens 2 hours before the flight schedule and closes 45 minutes before the flight. For international travelers, flying in or out of the country, the check-in counter opens 4 hours before flights and closes 75 minutes prior. For domestic flights, a check-in bag shall be 158 cm 62 inches of total dimension. Hand baggage of up to 7 kgs weight is allowed for adults, children, and infants.

What to carry on baggage?

Hand baggage Policy of Domestic Flights- Hand baggage of up to 7 kgs weight is allowed for adults, children, and infants. You are also allowed a laptop or other personal item or duty-free shopping bags of up to 3 kg weight in addition to a cabin bag. Cabin luggage of infant has to be carried in the cabin only. The infant allowed 1 pcs of 7 kg in the cabin.

If cabin baggage is found to be overweight at the boarding gate, there will be a charge of Rs 300 per kg per sector. The liquid is put in a 100 ml container at the maximum. For international flights, depending on the destination, passengers are allowed a check-in baggage allowance of 20 or 30 kgs. musical instruments such as guitars can be carried free of charge on both domestic as well as in international flights.

Indigo Airlines With a fleet of 209 aircraft taking passengers to 56 domestic and 15 international destinations, IndiGo Airlines is comparable with low-cost airlines globally. On a domestic flight on IndiGo Airlines are permitted to carry 15 kgs of checked-in baggage. For international flights, depending on the destination, passengers are allowed a check-in baggage allowance of 20 or 30 kgs.       Indigo flight meals are not included in the price of your ticket. Indian-based IndiGo offers a selection of food and beverages for sale on board, which includes vegetarian & non-vegetarian options for purchase during your flight. There are healthy juices, lemonade, and aerated beverages available for sale plus a choice of sugar-free health bars and drinks. For those customers who upgrade to Indigo Plus (at the time of booking), you will enjoy advanced seat assignment and a meal (choice of non-veg or vegetarian)  a drink (not alcoholic). There are no food and beverage sales on flights with a flying time of 30mins.   On all flights under 60mins, no hot food or beverages can be purchased. The following items can be purchased on board.       Travel Class:

      Indigo airlines Popular Domestic and International Routes:

      Travelers can check-in through the web at any time within 2 hours prior to the scheduled departure of their international flights and 1 hour prior to the departure of the domestic flights. To avail of IndiGo web check-in, you have to enter your booking reference no along with last name or email I'd.

      A maximum of nine passengers can be checked in at once.

      Dedicated Baggage Drop Counters are available to complete all the check-in formalities.

      As per the existing norms and regulations, passengers are required to carry a photo ID card and copy of E-ticket/Boarding Pass to enter the airport. You can carry any of these identification proof documents that are listed below:
