Bikaner Airport information and flight schedule



The NaL Airport is located at 13 in Bikaner the state of Rajasthan, India. Nal Airforce Station, also Bikaner Air Force Station. The Aiport is operated by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) as a civil enclave at the Bikaner Air Force Station. Regularly scheduled flight under the UDAN scheme were inaugurated in 2017. The Airport has a single runway which is 8,960 ft long. The airport terminal was inaugurated on 29 June 2014.  Air India was invited by the state govt to start to operate the flight’s services to Bikaner and Jaisalmer from Delhi.

The civil enclave will include a terminal for 100 passengers. Air flight services will play a major role in order to boost tourism in the state. Necessary facilities like baggage trolleys, snack counters, display information are available at the airport. The airport is under construction and therefore, more facilities are expected to be added soon.

Terminal
The new civil air terminal built by the Airport Authority of India (AAI) was opened at Nal, in the Bikaner district of Rajasthan. The terminal was inaugurated on 29 June 2014. The terminal at Bikaner has a capacity to handle up to 100 passengers per hour. The terminal building has a total built-up area of 900 sq mtr and is equipped with facilities including check-in counters, a VIP lounge and car parking.

Bikaner has Domestic Civil Airport Nal Airport which is located 15 km west of the city. Regular flights to Jaipur JAI and Delhi DEL commenced in 2017-18 under the UDAN scheme of Narendra Modi Govt. Bikaner railway station is a major Railway Junction in the North Western Railway zone of Indian Railways. Bikaner Airport has located 13 km from the city, hence you have to go in private taxis to go to the city of Bikaner. State transport and private buses are also available. In the city, you can move about in auto-rickshaws and cabs. The city is well connected with almost all the cities. 


About Bikaner:

Bikaner located in the heart of western Rajasthan. The area is part of the Great Indian Desert, the Thar. Bikaner is known as the royal city of Rajasthan which was founded by Rao Bika in 1488 CE and since then Bikaner has become the fourth largest city in the state of Rajasthan.
