About Airport:

Bathinda Airport is located in the city near the village of Virk Kalan Bhatinda, Punjab, India. It is a civil enclave at the Bhisiana Air Force Station of the Indian Air Force. The domestic air terminal is being built near the village. The Airport operates under Airport Authority of India (AAI). The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has constructed the Bathinda Civil Enclave on 42 acres of land owned by Indian Air Force. The Airport has a 9,200 ft long runway. The terminal has the capacity of handling 100 passengers per hour with a waiting area that can seat 30 people. Flight operations at Bathinda Airport commenced from 11.12.2016. Initially alliance air operated flights, thrice a week between Delhi and Bathinda. Amritsar Airport and Chandigarh Airport is located 98 km and 203 km away from Bathinda Airport. The Airport provides flights connectivity for many destintions.

About Place:

Bathinda or Bhatinda is one of the oldest cities in Punjab, India. Bathinda's nicknamed the 'City of Lakes', courtesy of the artificial lakes in the city.
