About Airport:

Aurangabad Airport is a public airport located in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India. Aurangabad Airport, also known as 
Chikkalthana Airport. The newly upgraded terminal building can handle domestic as well as international traffic. The domestic terminal at the airport has the capacity of handling 200 passengers in peak hours, while the international terminal can handle up to 150 passengers at one time. The airport is owned and operated by the Airports Authority of 
India (AAI). The maiden flight was to Jeddah Saudi Arabia, carrying pilgrims for Hajj. National air carrier Air India launched its direct flight to Jeddah for Hajj, using an Airbus 310 with 200 hajis aboard from the newly constructed terminal in Aurangabad. Aurangabad became the 17th airport in the country from which Hajj flights depart. The airport opened to regular traffic on 3 March 2009. Currently, there are 4 airlines operate in Aurangabad Airport which is Air India, Air India Regional, 
Jet Airways offer flights destination to Delhi and Mumbai. Trujet, the country’s newest budget airline operated its route to Bangalore, 
Hyderabad and Tirupati. Blue Dart Aviation is providing cargo services at this Airport to/from Delhi. The airport is facilitated with a number of services to its passengers.
